Gutierrez Meets with President Yuschenko in Kyiv, Ukraine
Kyiv, Ukraine (June 4)—In the first visit by a U.S. Secretary of Commerce to Ukraine since independence in 1991, Carlos M. Gutierrez met with Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko and held other bilateral meetings to discuss key economic issues between our two nations. “Ukraine’s WTO membership and growing economy present dynamic commercial opportunities that will lead to expanded commercial relations with global partners,” Gutierrez said.
